Is there an IE tab for Opera, just like the IE tab extension for Firefox?
If there is, where can I download it?
Opera is quicker than Firefox with or without Fasterfox.
Why are some websites so stupid as to exclude the compatibility with Opera or Firefox? Damn Internet Explorer!

no, opera isn't as open with its plugin system (API) as firefox is.

I don't know. Sometimes, especially when I have to upload a file, Opera does not respond. I'll try as you suggested when I come across such a situation next time.

Some Chinese user has made an "IE tab in Opera", maybe I can try it sometime.

The download link for the "IE tab in Opera" does not work, so I guess there has never been such a thing.

I haven't seen anything, nor heard of anything JingTian. It's one of Opera's gifts. You can lock this browser down, but as far as plug-ings along IE, they are not a feature I know of, other than what I've mentioned.

Sometimes it is easier to just use IE for Microsoft and Hotmail for all the throw away stuff. We have other things in place. Personally I am quite happy to not see it happen either. No Iexplorer.exe shell has to be good for XP at least. :(

What exactly are your issues, or is this just curiosity ?

For example, when I browse the location of my cv and click OK to upload it into some job sites, it does not respond, even after several minutes. So I have to use IE and sign in and upload my cv again, and it works.

So browser identification changed to IE doesn't work either ?

I read that some have found reloading the page can help. There was a setting that was suggested a while back. Will try to find it.

You can always use the error windows to find the problem and start a topic at Opera forums if nothing works.

For this clear all logs in Opera - Tools-Advanced-Error Console-Clear

then

Tools-Preferences-Content-Javascript Options-Open console on error

This will help diagnose it.

Yes, I'd better post in the Opera forum. I nearly forgot that. :lool:

Had a quick discussion here - http://www.dslreport...remark,17669883

Maybe going back to 8.54 will fix your problem Jingtian
