Windows Media Player 11 with WhiteCap visualization.

It´s easy and looks quite nice on the desktop... and it plays my music when I tell it to...

Yep, all I've used for a year or 2. I have Nero, Infranview, WMP(which rarely opens here, if ever), and one or 2 others.

Works fine though, and never really look at any of the others here.

Did have issues at one stage with sound drivers when beta testing, but it since has disappeared touch wood, not that the source for that was found, but it was only with Soundmax drivers though, and wasn't repeated on the other box, with different drivers.

Free or paid, I have only really used the free version

that's not the microsoft media player, it's a standalone program, whose interface is like windows media player 6.4. But that's about it, it's advanced compared to the microsoft app: http://sourceforge.n...cts/guliverkli/

i don't use fli (never did play them) + the MPC build i use is not the official one, so who knows might have been fixed in thhat
