well I use windows media player, it just works fine for me in the taskbar
winamp is good indeed, but I just like to keep it basic

yes, I'm really Punctual about updating
cant stand end of life software and software that is out of date

used it long time.. but the back to basic is working for me ;P

That's ok.
I think wmp11 is good but a bit bloathed. Also in winamp it is easier to set the sounds the way you like it

WMP 11 is not bloated if you switch it to classic skin from 9.xx series.

/me uses Winamp v2.95. It does what it is supposed to do and as far as I remember had some feature(s) which are not included in newer versions.

I use TTPlayer to listen to music and KMPlayer to watch videos.
TTPlayer is a good Chinese music player and it consumes only 4MB RAM. KMPlayer is a good media player from South Korea.

Anyone can use it for free, as long as the person speaks Chinese, as there is only Chinese version at the moment. :D
Actually sometimes it uses only less than 2MB of RAM.
