We don't need to be experts but I believe the more we know the more we can help Kaspersky

i can't understand how the ability to disasamble a file & look for malicious code helps kaspersky (and helps you as a home user). you can't add it to the databases yourself and you still have to send it for analysis.

I agree on this one. but it can help to understand on how Kaspersky should react to malware.

ok, if you are an "it pro" you don't need a tutorial on the kl forum for that, plus tutorials won't give you a really relevant info, you need an analyst with experience to guide you through, and i don't think there's a job description for that (analyst to help forum user analyze malware for who knows what reason), plus it won't help you at all since you can't do anything after you find out wether it's malicious or not, might just as well run it in a virtual machine.

If you really consider yourself an It pro you should start acting like one and think things through, not just start throwing random suggestions

Sorry it has already been discussed on many ocasions, when you requested VirusAnalyst's Tools to custom edit the signatures. Do not count on tutorials, either. But good news for you can find a lot of interesting articles on the Internet.
