Please can you edit that link as IBK prefers such URLs to go to the main page only?

The results are interesting as always, but just shows you shouldn't put too much credence on heuristics.

For me it was a little unexpected result. I expected it to be better with the new emulator. Still not as good as NOD

Don't forget he was using signature updates from February 2.

I know.
That's what proactive test is about. Isn't it?

It'll improve I'm sure, but don't rely on heuristics as a main form of protection. We're fortunate to have very strong hourly signature updates, and as a back-up, the PDM. The heuristics I would consider to be a third layer of protection, but the least important.

Offcourse the heuristic engine is still very young. I just expected it to be better.
But in my opninion I rather have this heuristic engine and the best AV engine and PDM detection rate and a better heuristic engine. B)

To me, these comparative results conclude a huge improvement over the current version of KAV:Heuristics, and as TonyW concluded that we shouldn't just rely on that too much. :D

Again, it's very difficult to go from 9% to 35%. So KL Team deserves to be praised.
